We are all hurting people... we all struggle. Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a lay-led program for fellowship and to celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the 12 Steps and 8 Recovery Principles. This experience allows us to "be changed." By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free... and this freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power—Jesus Christ. God is using CR to help people experience freedom from their “hurts, habits, and hang-ups.”
Thursday Night Ministry
Because of CR’s commitment to those who are hurting and dealing with serious hurts, habits, and hang-ups we attempt to meet every Thursday night of the year. We meet at 5:15 p.m. for a fellowship meal time followed by our large group time of worship, teaching, and sharing at 6:00 p.m. Following the large group worship, we separate into “Open Share Groups” which are gender and issue specific support groups and a “Newcomers Group” for individuals who are new to CR to help them understand how the program works. Afterwards, we gather at 8:00 for fellowship (Solid Rock Café) before heading home each week.
These are focused, intense, 10-month, gender-specific Bible studies that lead the participant through the work necessary to experience real recovery. Step Studies are led by individuals who have already completed a Step Study and desire to guide others through the same experience. This study identifies and grooms Celebrate Recovery Leaders and is therefore essential for the continuance and growth of our Ministry.
Our youth are involved in “The Landing” which is CR for youth. Many lives have been impacted through this program on Sunday evenings in the Connect Space. Today's teens are vulnerable as they are faced with mounting pressures and struggles. It is important to guide them to the only true source of hope and healing.
The program is facilitated by Shay & Erin Crawford.
